Vickie is a holistic planner who believes that the approach to planning a person or
family’s financial future must be integrated. One element cannot be “carved out” without
it impacting the efficiency of the plan. She has practiced this philosophy since she began
her career with New York Life in 1984, when she qualified for MDRT* as well as achieved
executive council** within her first year. Much of her success comes from knowing
protection, accumulation, earnings, distribution and legacy are all impacted by each
other, and must be viewed together.
In 1998, after 14 years in the business, Vickie made the decision to step back so that
she could homeschool her two small children through elementary school. During that time,
she discovered how much she missed working with her clients. Vickie feels the best part
of her career is getting to walk through life with them; celebrating their successes and
comforting them when they are hurting. She has always felt humbly honored to be invited
into that space, and as such, is committed to lifelong learning in order to help them
achieve their financial objectives.
Since returning in 2008, Vickie has achieved qualifying Member status of the MDRT*
since 2010, becoming a lifetime member in 2017. In addition, she has earned her CLU
designation and Series 7 certification.
Vickie is a fourth-generation Tulsan who graduated from Edison High School and Oklahoma
State University. She has been married to her husband Kelly for over 35 years, and they
attend Harvard Avenue Christian Church, where he is Minister of traditional worship.
Together they have two grown sons, Dewey and Dillon. When not spending time with her
family, Vickie also enjoys playing tennis, as well as various water sports and snow
skiing.
